The FMLA was recently amended to allow some federal employees to take military family leave in two situations. However, the amendment does not apply to all federal employees. Moreover, where it does apply, not all federal employees are entitled to take both forms of military family leave. Complicating matters further, regulations implementing the new military family leave provisions have not been issued for all federal employees.
Carl Bosland, Esq., author of A Federal Sector Guide to the Family and Medical Leave Act & Related Litigation (Dewey Publications) and the Federal Employment Law Training Group will be conducting a federal sector FMLA workshop on April 15, 2009, at George Washington University in DC. The recent expansion of the FMLA for military family leave, along with major revisions to the existing FMLA regulations, make this A MUST ATTEND WORKSHOP. To remain in compliance and avoid unnecessary and costly litigation, you need the latest FMLA information.
